ADACCV Prevention
ADACCV's prevention team utilizes scientifically proven strategies to address youth and family substance use issues. Prevention Specialists partner with Concho Valley schools to provide a variety of evidence-based curriculums for students ages 4-17. They also provide community-wide presentations, interactive demonstrations, hands-on activities and other educational opportunities to community groups, youth groups, churches, businesses and community social services organizations.
The prevention staff offers prevention counseling and referral services for youth ages 14-17 and their families. These intervention-based services are designed to address high-risk behaviors in youth and provide access to available resources to them and their families.
The mission of the Alcohol & Drug Awareness Center for the Concho Valley’s Prevention Team is to educate and empower youth and adults to promote positive change, in order to create healthier communities.
